July, I have not forgotten you

Well this month surely sped by at the speed of The Flash.

Here’s a quick photodump of what I’ve been up to lately:

D & D & Me

So yes, last night we had our 4th successful DnD session. Yup, I’m playing now.

This is my first campaign and really the first time I’ve actively participated in a type of game like this. Video games don’t count. DnD is very VERY different. And hilariously, I find that those who think people who play this game have problems and are society rejects are terribly pathetic now imho and need to gtfo of my life. Seriously. If you… (more…)

Dentists and Success

It’s JUNE! YAY!

So many weekends this month, so much time for activities, such good weather in the forecast!

Memorial day weekend was pretty fun. Check out my instagram for a photo gallery of activities.

Things to note: Mia hissed at me once, BUT also let me boop her nose. Husband is hella jealous, muahahahaha. Also, went on a 10 mile bike ride for the first time in a LONG time. By long time I mean probably close to a decade. That was Monday…today is Friday…my legs are back to normal, but my butt bones…I need a new bike seat.

The bike seat I have came with the bike when we bought it. It looks like it is original to the bike, which is at least 25-30 years old. Le-sigh… Oh little blue bike… how cute you are, but you are HEAVY.

So what’s with my post title? I went to the dentist! (This week has been basically a bunch of new old stuff). My last cleaning was 5 years ago when I was 26 (Thanks Obama). And apparently my teeth are awesome! And my dentist hates my permanent retainer, more than I hate my permanent retainer. But, with the way things were…super gross sorry, they cleaned me up and I’m happy to report I have zero cavities, teeth are looking great, but I do have gingivitis. Boo…but what do you egg-spect!?!! LOL

All in all, good report card for being a lazy ass.

I do have to say thought that Willamette Dental is super awesome and I wouldn’t feel guilty, embarassed, or obligated to return to them.

Mega-Kal 2017

The first round of the mega-kal this year has come and gone. So many awesome sets of hats and shawls or cowls!

Next up is Legs and Arms? Well hands? Well whatever. No hard and fast rules in the group! Keep things fluid so that FOs and not UFOs are generated.

On my list is the circle mitts and the rejoice leg warmers. I haven’t decided what I want to make them out of just yet though. It’s been pretty gloomy in terms of the weather here, so I’m trying to knit some stuff with perkier colors. But…I don’t wear perky colors? Haha!!

Moving out of my comfort zone isn’t exactly a bad thing. 😉

So for the next two and a half months, May is half over already, I’ll be working on some shawls and then those two little bits for the mega-kal group. Hopefully it results in some cute little ankle/leg warmers I can wear with my Blowfish sandals this fall. =D

MayDay and the Oliver

LOL so there were some people freaking out over a few trash can fires and a broken window downtown calling it a “riot”….LOL

Ok and past that, nothing has happened. At least, I haven’t heard of anything happening. Which in of itself probably means May Day is getting less attention because of other bullshittery. Such as – the new chair of the FCC trying to reclassify the internet so that we can all get throttled and charged up the ass by cell/net carriers…..great.

May Update

Oh blog, I have not forgotten about you, I promise.

Lately I just haven’t felt like enough project work has been happening to really warrant a new post. The new apartment is pretty sweet and I’ve been trying to keep up with keeping it nice and fresh so it doesn’t aggravate Jonathan’s allergies. So, busy being domestic…not entirely interesting…

Keeping it short today:

Completed the Faberge Shawl

Washing my Frosty Acorn sweater

Starting sleeves on my Bloom cardigan
